ROLE

LEAD UX STRATEGIST    DESIGN RESEARCH LEAD
As a creative producer at The Point Labs, my role focused on making sense of research and translating it into something the consortium could build from. I brought together user research, partner interviews, accessibility perspectives, institutional realities, and insights from existing immersive experiences to develop the project's user personas, design principles, sprint framework, and evaluation approach.

BRIEF

Develop a human-centred design framework that enables museums and cultural institutions across Europe to create immersive experiences that are engaging, accessible, scalable, and operationally sustainable. The framework had to support diverse audiences while respecting the realities of heritage institutions and public spaces.

CHALLENGE

Most immersive installations are designed around technology rather than people. Cultural institutions face limited budgets, historic building restrictions, varying technical capacities, and diverse visitor needs. The challenge was to bridge the gap between creative ambition and real-world implementation while ensuring experiences remain inclusive, emotionally meaningful, and transferable across different venues.

SOLUTION

I developed a research-driven design methodology that combines user research, behavioural personas, institutional interviews, accessibility principles, societal trend analysis, and technical feasibility into one unified design process. The resulting framework enables multidisciplinary teams to design immersive experiences that balance storytelling, emotion, accessibility, operational feasibility, and long-term sustainability
